Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Procurement:
- Manage end-to-end sourcing of agri-commodities (Maize, Soybean Meal/DOC, Rice Bran/DORB, Wheat, Bajra, Mustard/Groundnut/Cottonseed Cake, Fish Meal, MBM, Molasses, Mineral Mixture, Salt, Limestone/DCP), fuel, packing materials, spares & consumables
- Plan procurement with Production & Stores; ensure smooth Procure-to-Pay cycle
- Develop short & long-term sourcing strategies to optimize cost and supply
- Identify and onboard new vendors/raw materials for cost efficiency
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct crop surveys and engage with farmers/source markets
- Track market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics
- Travel extensively for vendor development and market intelligence
Technology & Digital:
- Use SAP MM, E-auction, and digital tools for procurement operations
- Leverage data analytics, dashboards, and MIS for decision-making
- Support digital transformation and automation initiatives
Logistics & Cost Optimization:
- Manage inbound logistics for timely and cost-effective delivery
- Optimize resale value of scrap/packing materials
- Implement cost-saving initiatives across logistics and sourcing
Supplier Management:
- Evaluate supplier performance through regular visits
- Drive vendor development and long-term partnerships
- Ensure alignment with business goals and performance standards
Business Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity
- Achieve OTD targets and uninterrupted operations
- Ensure compliance, reporting, and cost optimization initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate (Agri preferred)
- 10–12 years of experience in agri-commodities/feed industry
- Strong expertise in sourcing, market intelligence & vendor management
- 6 days working; willingness to travel 12–15 days/month
- Expertise in sourcing, market intelligence & supplier management
- Knowledge of SAP MM, E-auction & digital tools
Salary: Up to ₹18.00 LPA
